Role Overview
Advisor - Safety, Health & Environment at AECOM, Abu Dhabi. AECOM is a global infrastructure consulting firm dedicated to delivering projects that create positive impact worldwide.
Role Purpose
Serve as a driving force behind the organization's commitment to maintaining safe, healthy, and environmentally responsible operations across infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
Site Inspection & Audit
- Conduct comprehensive site inspections and audits to identify hazards, safety violations, and improvement opportunities.
- Maintain detailed documentation of findings.
Safety Protocol Development & Implementation
- Develop, implement, and monitor customized safety protocols tailored to project requirements and regulatory standards.
Safety Culture & Advocacy
- Serve as a trusted safety advocate, working collaboratively with site teams to embed a proactive safety culture across operations.
Risk Management & Performance
- Analyze risk management data and performance metrics to drive continuous improvement in operational safety and protect personnel.
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven experience as a Safety, Health & Environment professional or advisor in construction or infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of UAE safety regulations and international best practices in occupational health and safety.
Skills & Competencies
- Excellent analytical and documentation skills with the ability to identify hazards and develop preventive solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with diverse teams and influence safety culture at all levels.
