Role Overview
Adjunct Faculty - Business at Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT), United Arab Emirates, providing temporary teaching staff to enhance student learning in general business and related disciplines.
Role Purpose
Provide effective instruction in assigned General Business courses and specialized areas within the discipline to second language learners in a student-centric learning environment that fosters respect for students, their culture, and their traditions.
Key Responsibilities
Teaching & Instruction
- Deliver effective instruction in undergraduate courses in the Business discipline.
- Cover regular program courses including capstone projects, work experience, and senior-level specialized courses.
- Teach assigned General Business subjects and at least two or more specific areas of the assigned program or discipline.
Academic & Community Engagement
- Actively participate in academic and extra-curricular events at the College and within the community.
- Engage in applied research and outreach activities.
Qualifications & Experience
- Master's Degree and a professional certification relevant to the discipline, or Bachelor's Degree with extensive industry experience and industry certification as per the discipline requirement.
- Appropriate academic professional qualifications as required by the discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years relevant industry experience preferred.
Additional Information
- Position is temporary employment status.
- Teaching load assigned on as-needed basis, not to exceed 9 credits per semester.
- Regular workdays are Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
- Hours of work for academic employees are based on the teaching schedule.
- Reports to the Program Coordinator of the assigned Division.
