Accounting & Tax Coordinator - Dubai

Role Overview

Accounting & Tax Coordinator at Golden Goose, based in Dubai HQ. The position reports directly to the Regional Head of Finance (MEINA).

Role Purpose

Build and maintain the regional financial foundation across MEINA countries by overseeing general ledger activities, tax compliance, and audit processes while mentoring junior finance team members and supporting strategic financial decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

General Ledger & Closing Processes

• Oversee end-to-end general ledger activities and month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Ensure strict alignment with IFRS and local accounting standards.

Tax & Compliance

• Act as the primary regional point of contact for all tax-related matters.
• Coordinate with external consultants the timely submission of VAT and Corporate Tax returns.
• Partner with external tax advisors and statutory auditors.

Fixed Assets & Intercompany Management

• Oversee Intercompany reconciliations with global HQ.
• Manage the SAP Fixed Assets ledger, including depreciation runs and asset capitalization for retail stores.

Team Leadership & Audit

• Supervise, mentor, and review the outputs of junior finance team members.
• Champion a collaborative "one team" spirit.
• Lead external and internal audit processes across MEINA countries.
• Support preparation of comprehensive financial documentation and statutory statements.

Financial Planning & Analysis

• Partner actively with the Regional Head of Finance on budgeting, forecasting, and ad-hoc financial analysis.
• Support strategic decision-making and retail business development.

Qualifications & Experience

• 5–7 years of robust experience in Accounting & Tax roles, preferably within the Luxury/Retail sector or a Big 4 auditing firm.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
• Professional certifications such as ACCA, CPA, or CMA are considered a strong plus.

Skills & Competencies

• Knowledge of IFRS and Middle East tax regulations, specifically UAE Corporate Tax and VAT.
• High proficiency in MS Excel.
• Solid experience with major ERP systems, including SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, or Stealth.
• Exceptional analytical mindset.
• Extreme attention to detail.
• Flexibility to adapt to the evolving needs of a fast-paced, disruptive business environment.
• Fluency in English is mandatory.
