Role Purpose
Ensure accuracy and adequacy of supporting documents in the processing of financial transactions and coordinate with different finance departments to reconcile financial data as per accepted accounting principles and standards.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Accounts Management
- Assist in the preparation of management accounts, fund flow statements, and annual budgets.
- Manage suspense accounts to inform Accounts Managers of any operational anomalies.
- Coordinate monthly financial closing of accounts and analyze income-related accounts for fairness.
- Provide financial reports to department and corporate management.
- Review the preparation of final accounts and journal vouchers and scrutinize ledger accounts for correctness and accuracy.
- Provide management with reliable reports as per accepted accounting rules and regulations.
Banking & Reconciliation
- Assist in the roll-over of deposits and preparation of collateral reports.
- Prepare entry sheets of various banks to reconcile bank statements.
- Provide financial reports to the department and corporate management.
- Supervise Accountant and Cashier in performing monthly cash reconciliations.
- Supervise balance sheet accounts control to ensure reliability and accuracy.
Audit & Compliance
- Coordinate with External and Internal Auditors by providing all needed financial records, data, and information to perform audits.
- Ensure accuracy of audit processes.
- Compile and collect financial data for corporate tax reporting to comply with government requirements.
- Adhere to generally accepted accounting and auditing principles and other international accounting regulations.
- Comply with regulations and Abdul Latif Jameel policies.
- Monitor and control cash flow management within operation.
Budget Control & Monitoring
- Monitor annual budget control.
- Achieve business budget targets through controlling monthly and annual reporting.
- Manage business travel itinerary with respect to business budget constraints.
- Ensure following of travel regulations and communicate any updates to management and associates.
Team Management & Development
- Conduct performance discussions with subordinates through open discussion to establish Associate's development and Performance Awareness.
- Mentor and develop associates and ensure they are provided opportunities for development.
- Chart out career paths and succession plans through Succession/Progression Development Interventions.
- Develop subordinates through on-job training and monitor performance.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent.
- Minimum 4 years' experience in a related field.

Supervision & Authority
- Close supervision on daily operations and monthly reporting.
- Limited authority over daily operation with respect to Accounting standards.
