Accountant Fixed Asset

Role Overview

Accountant Fixed Asset at Emarat - Emirates Petroleum Company P.J.S.C, responsible for maintaining the accuracy, integrity, and completeness of the organization's Fixed Asset Register and fixed asset accounting records.

Role Purpose

Ensure proper accounting, capitalization, tracking, and reporting of all Property, Plant and Equipment (PPE). The role independently validates capitalization requests, ensures compliance with accounting standards and internal controls, and maintains segregation from capital budgeting, project approval, investment analysis, and CAPEX governance activities.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Accounting & Reporting

• Manage the Fixed Asset Register.
• Account for Capital Work-in-Progress from an accounting perspective.
• Account for Property, Plant and Equipment under IAS 16.
• Account for Right-of-Use Assets under IFRS 16.
• Perform depreciation accounting.
• Account for asset transfers, retirements, and disposals.
• Conduct asset reconciliations.
• Execute asset verification programs.
• Prepare asset financial statement disclosures.

Asset Controls & Operations

• Maintain robust controls over company assets.
• Validate capitalization requests independently.
• Review Capital Work-in-Progress accounting.
• Manage asset verification and physical controls.
• Reconcile assets and maintain financial controls.

Process Improvement & Governance

• Support development of asset accounting policies and procedures.
• Support automation and improvement of asset accounting processes within Oracle Fusion.
• Contribute to strengthening the Company's asset governance and asset control framework.
• Support Finance management on fixed asset accounting and reporting matters.

Compliance & Audit

• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
• Maintain IFRS compliance and financial reporting standards.
• Support audit and compliance activities.
• Administer Oracle Fusion Fixed Assets.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Master's degree in Accounting or ACCA, CPA, CA, or CMA (preferred).
• Minimum 4 years in Fixed Asset Accounting.
• Experience with ERP Fixed Asset Modules.
