Role Overview
Account Manager Transfer Agency on a fixed-term basis (1 year) with The Apex Group.

Role Purpose
Serve as a knowledgeable and professional point of contact for fund investors, fund managers, and internal teams, managing an assigned set of funds and handling fund documentation, investor registries, and AML/KYC processing both individually and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
AML/KYC & Compliance
- Possess good understanding and knowledge of AML/KYC laws and guidelines set out by appropriate MENA Regulators, CIMA, and Apex AML Policies.
- Adhere to established policies, procedures, and controls.
- Understand Bermuda and BVI AML/KYC laws.
Transfer Agency Operations
- Maintain knowledge of all Transfer Agency functions including AML/KYC, investor onboarding, Share Registry Dealings, Metrosoft screening, Payments, and FATCA/CRS filings.
- Manage investor onboarding and coordinate with appropriate operations and CRM teams to ensure tasks are completed.
- Maintain knowledge of assigned funds, fund timelines, deal documentation, and related processes.
Fund Administration
- Possess a basic understanding of fund structures—share classes versus series—and understand NAV per share to enable publishing correct prices to various pricing vendors such as Bloomberg, Refinitiv, and Morning Star.
- Maintain a basic understanding of accounting related to subscriptions, redemptions, and distributions.
- Ensure investor communications are released in line with procedures and deadlines are met.
- Responsible for fund audits in relation to TA-related PBC requirements.
Stakeholder Management
- Establish good relationships with FA teams and establish workflows and procedures to ensure the FA team is updated at all times regarding any TA activity to be included in the NAV.
- Communicate confidently with investors and handle situations that arise in line with Apex's policies.
- Demonstrate good email etiquette as the candidate will be communicating with investors and clients.
Documentation & Governance
- Read, understand, and provide comments on TA-related aspects in a Fund's PPM.
- Coordinate with the Corporate Secretary for any waivers and Board Resolutions required in relation to TA activity.
Planning & Delivery
- Understand workflows and organize responsibilities and priorities to meet and manage deadlines with exceptional attention to detail and follow through.
- Participate in special projects as assigned, including automation efforts, enhanced controls, system testing, and client research.
Qualifications & Experience
- Overall 5–7 years of experience with a minimum of 3 years' experience in a Transfer Agency role.
Skills & Competencies
- Fluent command of the English language with good written and verbal communication skills.
- Understanding of Arabic (written and spoken) is an added advantage.
- Excellent email etiquette and professional communication.
