2ND OFFICER

Role Overview

Second Officer with NMDC Group, working in the Marine department.

Role Purpose

Execute navigational watch duties, plan voyages, and maintain maritime compliance and safety standards aboard vessel operations.

Key Responsibilities

Navigation & Watchkeeping

• Perform sea, port, and anchor watches as per master instructions.
• Conduct voyage planning.

Compliance & Documentation

• Correct and order charts, nautical publications, and other publications in accordance with IMO Flag requirements.
• Maintain Log Book.

Equipment & Safety

• Supervise and check navigational equipment, lights, and day marks.

Qualifications & Experience

• High School Diploma.
• Officer of Watch Unlimited certificate (II/2).
• Minimum 2 years as Second Officer on board anchor handling tugs.

Skills & Competencies

• Good English communication skills.
• Good knowledge of safe practices related to anchor handling and towing operations.
