Role Overview

Transaction Banking IT Project Manager at VAM Systems for Qatar operations.

Role Purpose

Lead complex banking technology and digital transformation projects, with particular focus on transaction banking platform implementations and legacy system migrations. Deliver projects on time, within scope, and aligned with business objectives while coordinating across business, technology, operations, compliance, and vendor teams.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Governance

• Establish comprehensive project governance, planning, budgeting, and scheduling frameworks aligned with banking standards.
• Monitor and manage project scope, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Own risk management, issue resolution, and change control processes.
• Deliver senior stakeholder reporting and executive communications.

Legacy System Migration

• Lead end-to-end migration strategy from legacy systems to new digital platforms.
• Develop and execute data migration strategies including planning, reconciliation protocols, and validation frameworks.
• Manage cutover planning and execution.
• Own post-migration stabilization and support activities.

System Implementation & Deployment

• Manage large-scale implementation projects across transaction banking platforms.
• Oversee System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and Production Deployment activities.
• Deliver post-go-live support and issue resolution.
• Ensure testing protocols and reconciliation validations are completed.

Stakeholder & Vendor Coordination

• Partner with business, technology, operations, and compliance teams to align project delivery.
• Coordinate with external vendors and technology partners.
• Facilitate communication and resolve dependencies across all stakeholder groups.

Business Analysis & Requirements

• Apply solid Business Analyst knowledge across transaction banking products, channels, and operational processes.
• Manage requirement gathering, documentation, and traceability.
• Ensure alignment between business needs and technical delivery.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 10–15 years of progressive experience managing complex banking technology and digital transformation projects.
• 10–15 years of experience in banking technology project management.
• Strong background in transaction banking platforms, including OBDX and related corporate banking systems.
• Proven experience managing legacy system migration to new digital platforms.
• Prior experience managing large-scale implementation or migration projects in banking.
• Strong exposure to transaction banking, digital banking, and migration programs.
• PMP Project Manager certification required.
