Role Overview

Arabic Language and Islamic Education Teacher for Kindergarten at Hayat Universal School, based in Qatar. This is a residential position.

Role Purpose

Deliver high-quality Arabic language and Islamic education instruction to kindergarten students using modern, student-centered teaching methodologies that integrate technology, creative activities, and behavioral values development.

Key Responsibilities

Lesson Planning and Preparation

• Prepare daily lessons with precision, using templates issued by the Supreme Council of Education.
• Develop accurate annual plans in compliance with the Supreme Council of Education templates.
• Prepare appropriate worksheets for students at different proficiency levels, with particular attention to advanced learners.
• Prepare review sheets and examination papers at the end of each academic term.
• Prepare and activate behavioral values sessions with students in a meaningful and effective manner.

Instruction and Learning Activities

• Deliver lessons using modern teaching approaches that emphasize technology integration and diverse student activities, positioning students as the center of learning.
• Implement educational games with students to ensure comprehension and genuine understanding of material.
• Train students for school presentations in alignment with administrative requirements.
• Participate with departmental teachers in the student reading strengthening program at a rate of 30 minutes weekly.
• Administer Arabic language placement assessments for new students with integrity and impartiality.
• Cover classes when departmental teachers are absent, delivering lessons to the required standard.

Student Assessment and Monitoring

• Correct student work carefully and monitor assignments from notebooks, textbooks, and worksheets.
• Write weekly letters to students by the designated deadline and implement them consistently in class.

Classroom Management and Environment

• Supervise students during school breaks in the required manner, instilling behavioral values and encouraging good conduct.
• Arrange and maintain classroom displays, regularly updating student work exhibits.

Family and Community Engagement

• Activate the Plus-Portal program with students and parents to maintain continuous communication.
• Communicate with parents in matters serving their children's academic and behavioral interests.
• Organize educational school trips that support curriculum content.

Professional Development and Collaboration

• Attend weekly departmental meetings and implement resulting requirements, committing to professional and academic development plans.
• Attend training workshops inside and outside the school that support teaching and learning.
• Interact with departmental teachers, international teachers, and administrators in a professional and courteous manner.

Compliance and Operations

• Comply with all school administration policies and regulations.
• Adhere to school hours from 6:30 a.m. to 2:20 p.m.
• Work scheduled Saturdays as listed in the school's annual calendar.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Arabic Language and/or Islamic Sharia Studies, or equivalent.
• Experience teaching kindergarten and primary stage students.
• Experience implementing diverse creative activities in instruction.

Skills & Competencies

• Ability to manage the classroom and interact effectively with students.
• Full proficiency in computer and technology use.

Additional Information

• Position requires residency in Qatar.
• School hours: 6:30 a.m. to 2:20 p.m.
• Includes scheduled Saturday work according to the school's annual calendar.
